Beautiful double counterpane, Natural dyed and hand printed in Bagru, then handstitched in Rajesthan in de traditional Gudri work that was originally used to make layers of old saris into bed covers for the cold winter nights. natural dyes can deviate on the computer. Printed in Bagru with wooden clocks using the dubble Dabu technique ( this is similar to batik only instead of wax, a mud mixture is used. To clean wash very carefully by hand as this is a work of art but preferably get it dry cleaned.. It measures at least 230 x 260 cm but of course this is real handwork so individually sizes can vary.
Lots of pieces of differnt Bagru dabu printed material. it makes a lovely special patchwork quilt.
